Milton Residences for the Elderly was created in 1968 by the Milton-Mattapan Clergy Association to provide affordable housing for seniors. Since
completing its first apartment community, Unquity House, in 1972, MRE has
continued to fulfill its original mission: "to meet the needs of the seniors - in Milton and beyond - by providing housing and services, with sensitivity and care, as a means of assuring their well-being and preserving their dignity."
In recent years, MRE has branched out to provide both subsidized and market rate housing, as a developer, property management organization and
provider of support services.
MRE is recognized throughout Greater Boston for its professionalism and its commitment to a caring approach in providing housing for seniors. With the
recent acquisition of an affordable elderly development in South Boston, MRE has expanded its geographic base.
MRE has built its reputation over the past 40 years by meeting the challenges of providing elderly housing with care, professionalism and integrity. |
